Job Summary

This position involves providing outstanding customer service while accurately and efficiently processing teller transactions.

 

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

  • Enhance customer relationships by extending a courteous welcome and delivering accurate and timely customer service while cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, handling loan payments, and dispensing monetary instruments.
  • Answer customer questions and resolve related account issues to ensure customer satisfaction via telephone, internet, and in-person communication. Perform service-related activities and appropriate follow-up with customers.
  • Acquire new and deepen existing customer relationships by initiating value-added conversations in order to identify customer needs and match those needs with the appropriate bank product or service.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the bank as assigned, including balancing cash daily to ensure accurate transaction processing.
  • Comply with internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Answer customer questions about bank products and services, with a concentration on electronic banking, debit cards and other payment systems.
  • Refer customers to other areas of the bank for service.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • High school diploma (required)
  • Post-secondary education in finance, information technology, or another business-related field (preferred)
  • Experience providing excellent customer service
  • Experience handling transactions in an efficient, accurate, and friendly manner
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows products, particularly Excel
  • Strong ability to learn new computer systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills, including spoken and written language skills.

 

Accountability

This position reports to Amy Novotne, Branch Manager.

 

Working Conditions

The customer service team member will work primarily at Foresight Bank's Eyota location, varying shifts between 8:15 AM and 5:45 PM, Monday through Friday and 8:45 AM to Noon on a rotating Saturday schedule. This schedule is subject to change based on Foresight's business needs. Unscheduled evening and weekend work may be needed to meet the needs of customers and employees.

Work is performed largely within the bank with limited chance for personal injury. Prolonged and frequent mental and visual concentration is required. The position involves the potential for periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. The position involves lifting and moving up to 20 pounds of office supplies and equipment, and it involves some bending, turning, and twisting.

Job Summary

The primary duties of this Personal Banker position involve providing outstanding customer service while opening and servicing deposit accounts.

 

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

  • Acquire new and deepen existing customer relationships by initiating value-added conversations in order to identify customer needs and match those needs with appropriate bank products and services.
  • Proactively develop new deposit relationships by attending networking events, accompanying lenders in new relationship meetings, and engaging with other marketing initiatives.
  • Meet with customers to open new deposit accounts and service existing accounts.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in all deposit products, including individual retirement accounts (IRAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs).
  • Help customers make informed decisions regarding their checking, savings, certificate of deposit, IRAs, and HSAs.
  • Assist customers with bank-provided technology, including the online banking, mobile app, Cash Management and Positive Pay services.
  • Enhance customer relationships by extending a courteous welcome and delivering accurate and timely customer service.
  • Answer customer questions and resolve related account issues to ensure customer satisfaction via telephone, internet, and in-person communication. Perform service-related activities and appropriate follow-up with customers.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the bank as assigned
  • Follow training plan and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Comply with internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Refer customers to other areas of the bank for service.
